Eastern Suburbs Physie Code of Conduct

The aim of Eastern Suburbs Physical Culture is to ensure that all members experience dance in a fun, friendly, positive and safe environment. In order to achieve this, please take note of the following guidelines.

Eastern Suburbs Physie Code of Conduct.

Eastern Suburbs Physie, established in 2015, is a proud member of the Bjelke-Peterson School of Physical Culture Limited (BJP).

Our core values include fostering inclusiveness and encouraging personal excellence while discouraging internal competition among students. This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviors for students, parents, carers, and attendees at Eastern Suburbs Physie events, applicable during all Physie-related activities.

 

Our Commitment to members:

Eastern Suburbs Physie is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment. Unacceptable behaviors include:

  • Offensive language

  • Bullying, harassment, or disparaging remarks

  • Racist, sexist, or other inappropriate comments

  • Threatening behavior or physical altercations

  • Undue pressure or negative criticism of students

Incidents contrary to our Code should be reported to an associate for appropriate action.

 

Expectations for Students

Students at Eastern Suburbs Physie should:

  • Work hard and set achievable goals

  • Wear appropriate attire and maintain polite and friendly interactions

  • Cheer on classmates and take pride in their club

  • Respect rules, officials, and diversity in age, race, gender, and culture

 

Guidelines for Parents

Parents are encouraged to:

  • Create a positive and respectful environment

  • Abide by BJP’s Code of Behaviour and report any misconduct

  • Stay informed via our website and social media

  • Focus on effort and performance over results

  • Model appropriate behavior and respect decisions of club officials

Feedback to teachers should be respectful, avoiding negative comments about others.

Social Media Usage

Social media must not be used for bullying, harassment, airing grievances, or discriminating against anyone in the Physie community. Users should respect privacy and be cautious with content sharing, especially for junior students.

Compliance

Non-compliance with this Code may impact membership and the ability to compete. This applies equally to parents/guardians of members under 18.

Violations of this Code may lead to sanctions in line with the BJP Code of Conduct.
