Physie offers fun, upbeat, pop music as the soundtrack to a fusion of dance styles such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, aerobic dance and even yoga!

Eastern Suburbs Physie Club (ESP)  is a part of BJP Physical Culture Association. Physie is a uniquely Australian form of dance and exercise to music. The routines combine elements of Pilates, Yoga, gymnastics, aerobics, jazz, ballet, contemporary dance and hip hop. It is a unique Australian sport that is affordable, community based and lots of fun.  All routines are choreographed to develop strength, grace, coordination and flexibility and strength.

ESP are fortunate to have a dedicated team of teachers, parents and a volunteer committee, to ensure ongoing success.

We welcome all new members to become part of our physie family in Sydney’s East.

Our choreography is age-appropriately designed to teach the relationship of music to movement, rhythm, co-ordination, balance, and musical interpretation.

The Physical Culture year culminates in a series of friendly competitions for both teams and individuals.

Competitions are not compulsory, and you may just like to attend weekly classes for fun, fitness and friendship.

If you're competitive, you can enter both individual and team competitions. The National Junior Finals are held at Olympic Park Sports Centre, Homebush Bay. The prestigious Senior and Ladies National Finals are held each November.

You may like to take advantage of our get fit for Physie Pilates and Stretching classes. The classes are open to all ages and classes focus on developing core strength, flexibility and balance.

If you would like to do some extra fitness, strength and stretching at home, then sign up for our online sessions. They are a great way to keep up your fitness and skills if you cant make it to class every week.
